Lindbergh STEM Academy

Lindbergh STEM Academy is the only Middle School in Long Beach with a STEM Designation.  Our innovative programs in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math are leading the way in the district.  Lindbergh's improvement shows in the rigorous elective classes offered, increased attendance and test scores.  If you are considering Lindbergh STEM Academy as your Middle School, please check back often as we are updating our webpage with each new and exciting event.

 The Girls Track Team takes a break between events to watch the District Meet.

Common Core Practice Tests Available!

As you may know, the state of California is moving toward new assessments to go along with the Common Core standards.  These assessments will be done online.

To give students, parents and teachers a chance to see what the new tests are like, California has made sample assessments for ELA (English Language Arts) and math available online.  We encourage you to go through these this summer to get an idea of what's expected and how the tests will work.

Secure online donations may be made to the school of your choice, or simply to LBUSD. We will never share your personal information with anyone else, and you’ll receive an e-mailed receipt for tax write-off purposes. Funds will be handled by the non-profit Long Beach Education Foundation and will go toward:

  • Maintaining smaller class sizes, particularly in elementary schools
  • Maintaining vocational/career technical job training and college prep programs
  • Preserving essential high quality academic offerings, including English, math, social studies, history, computer technology and science
  • Preserving arts, music and sports programs
  • Preserving after-school programs to keep children off the streets and away from gangs, drugs and crime
  • Preserving students’ access to school libraries
