High School Choice is here for 8th Graders!

The High School Choice process has begun for our 8th graders.  All applications will be done through ParentVUE, online this year.  The district considers your child's 7th grade GPA and test scores to determine what programs that he or she may apply for at each school.  Come on into the school during regular business hours (between 8:30am and 3:30pm) and Mrs. Becker can help you complete your application.  Our Spanish translator is here on Thursdays.  We will continue to send information home with your child.  If you have any questions, please contact the school, or check out the Links to the left.

Common Core Practice Tests Available!

As you may know, the state of California is moving toward new assessments to go along with the Common Core standards.  These assessments will be done online.

To give students, parents and teachers a chance to see what the new tests are like, California has made sample assessments for ELA (English Language Arts) and math available online.  We encourage you to go through these this summer to get an idea of what's expected and how the tests will work.

To try them, click the link below.  (Please note that Internet Explorer isn't supported at the moment so you'll need to use Firefox, Safari or Chrome.)

To read more about how to take the practice test, you can view the Practice Test User Guide at the link below:
